Big versions of photos missing - empty space for thumbnail

This morning I discovered that I can't generate the larger images from the thumbnails by clicking on them at: http://www2.pbase.com/doowopper/amalficoast. Also when I tried to regenerate the thumbnail of one photo in this gallery, I then had a big empty space for the thumbail.
1) Does anyone know what causes this problem?
2) Is it necessary for me to start over with this gallery and reupload all the photos again and caption them again?
Thanks.

I have no idea what could have happened. Usually these small problem sort themselves out. This one doesn't seem to. Did you upload the images individually or did you zip it up?

as always, a specific example of an image that doesn't load would be helpful.

Slug.. I think he is talking abt these kinds of images http://www.pbase.com/image/3186684/

If you look, there is a small, medium and original versions, but no large version. My guess is that pbase has specific dimesions for small, medium and large. Maybe the picture submitted by doowopper was already smaller than the dimension of "large". Hence large version of the images was not produced.

I also remember that there were some problems with the thumbnails, but they seem to be displaying just fine now.

Srijith is right. The original uploads were very small - approx 432 x 324. While I don't upload anything more than 640 x 420 approx, if Richard wants "larger" images, he will have to reload but I would not recommend too large as they are such nice images, they are likely to be filched! Low res is best in my book!
