Hi Emily,
I've been using lately ProPhoto RGB color profile when editing images in Photoshop. Should I use Adobe RGB (1998) which I've been using before to solve the problem? Although before the server update I used the ProPhoto profile and had no problems when viewing the original size.
I noticed that now when I repost the image, the original size looks normal. I always use the alterinative: Recompress the Original, should I use Delete the Original instead?
Or should I change my color profile back to Adobe RGB?
Thanks!
I checked one of your recent photos, Aegean Sunset, in "original" size the metadata is intact and lists ProPhoto RGB color space as the ICC profile. Browsers and other applications that are color managed will read the ICC profile in the photo and correctly display the colors. When we view a photo in any size other than "original", pBase strips out all of the metadata and the ICC profile is lost. Applications will then generally default to displaying the photo in the sRGB color space, which is incorrect for any photo that hasn't been processed and saved in sRGB.
To correct this color mismatch so the photo displays correctly, I suggest you convert the final version that you want to post to sRGB before saving it. In Photoshop you can either assign a color space or convert to a color space, use the convert option.
This has been a long-term issue with pBase, I wish they would change it so the metadata stays with all sizes.
Cheers,
Doug

Thank you for your reply. I'm already processing and saving images in sRGB. I even changed now Adobe RGB (1998), but no help. The only way to get my images look in original as posted, is to re-post them.
Best,
Anitta
