Checking in this morning I find your note re: the weekend disaster.

. . .

Right now we're just waiting for the filesystem analysis program to complete. At that time, we'll be able to bring the volume back online and all of your photos will display properly.

Does this mean that we should wait a bit more before doing any repairs to our galleries, re-uploading, regenerating thumbs etc? I know some have begun to fix their galleries but I'd appreciate a word on this because I would rather wait til the end of your fixes than do unnecessary work on my end.

My investment in Pbase is relatively modest in dollars . . . but intense in time and effort. We rely on your good work and timely information on solving problems.

I'd wait until the dust settles before re uploading or trying to fix
what might not be actually broken.

Hey....has anyone noticed that some hours has now turned into some days. It's simple guys. It's called
redundancy: Duplication or repetition of elements in electronic equipment to provide alternative functional channels in case of failure.
Let's hope there is no permanent loss of images.

I love PBase and gladly give patience while the problems are resolved. My only complaint ever has been the lack of information during past outages. Thanks Slug for being proactive this time!

Stuff happens, just let us know when it does. Good luck on finding a fix.

Thanks for the update

Somebody has already said what I was planning to say:

Pbase is still the best photo gallery site.
