Chris - Thanks for this great feature. Just the other day I was thinking about finding a way to read Pbase comments without having to visit my web site on a daily basis. It looks like I should have a solution now. :)

I'm still learning this feed thing, but the question I have at this point is:
how to make it possible to get myself an email notification whenever someone posts a public comment at my site? I hope you don't mind I ask here.

Great work anyway. Thanks again.

Since I'm here, I'll try to answer... If there's something I'm missing please let me know!
Click this link, and subscribe:
Comments: http://feeds.pbase.com/feeds/tsienni/comments.atom
It doesn't give email notification, but it does add the comments to your reader, with the link back to your gallery where you can respond. You can subscribe to multiple feeds via the different links Chris posted at top.

Thanks again Chris, and everyone who put this together for us. I'm not sure what problems there were with My Yahoo, but it's working perfect for me. I did have it glitch one time when subscribing to another members feed, but I backed up, reloaded the page and all went fine the second time. So it seems fixed to me. Great job!

Almost about to go offline but saw your reply in time. Thank you, Dang!

I will follow the instructions and get a feel of how this works.

Have a good weekend.

Actually if you use Outlook 2007 as your reader you can have your feeds combined with your email. You can list them and sort them just like emails.

Or, Better IMHO, Thunderbird`s Mail Client. It is Mozilla`s "Outlook" and the brother of Firefox. Can be downloaded at:

(Hope the link works for you)
More info at the Wikipedia entry.

Bye

As for email subscriptions to updated photos or galleries - go to http://www.feedburner.com/ All sorts of stuff you can do with your feed here, you can offer email subscriptions to everyone interested!

yeah, it's super and seems to work perfectly with Wordpress - even the Danish characters work!

Please help the uninitiated :)

How can such a service help me?
What are the benefits to set it up

In all answers please be aware that I am a photographer (?) but not a computer guru

Thanks
Ilan

ilan;
In simple words RSS are small text files that some software can download easily. The text contained has info about changes in web pages...

The use? Well, you can "suscribe" as many RSS as you want and have a full update to the galleries with new photos every morning.

RSS is also used in news, blogs, sites, weather report, etc... goes well with a coffee in the morning if you understand how to use it.

Take care and it`s cool to see you still standing around after so many years.

Another cool widget toy for you Pbase rss feed: http://www.springwidgets.com

Have a look at my profile to see an animated feedburner icon from http://www.feedburner.com

...now I just have to actually write something on my blog :D Will mostly be used later this year when I go travelling.

Any "work around" concerning photos added to a "hidden" gallery being picked up?
