All was well this morning. Now I am missing a bunch of thumbnails.

I'm missing thumbnails also, the missing ones all seem to be on Mikami.

Yeah, same here. I wish there was a feature at some point to regenerate all missing thumbs in the main page. Its a pain to have to go through many galleries and many images to regenerate.

I just spent 20 minutes regenerating a ton of thumbnails.

And they're all disappearing again! :(

I just uploaded a new gallery about 5 minutes ago and already one thumbnail broke.

EMILY & SLUG

Why can't you guys be notified about a downed server so
you don't have to wait until enough people get upset to report
it here?

And if you know about one, why not just quickly post that
a server is down and you are working on it? You can make
topics where you announce only and no followup discussions
are possible. That'll make it easier on you.

I was feeling empathy for some poor guy with lots of thumbnails
missing and glad that wasn't the case anymore for most as it was for
2 months for so many. And then I saw all the missing thumbnails
in various galleries of my own.

You guys have a great presentation place here but I can't stress
how important Reliability is (and normal even 2-line communication)
-- MUCH more so than fancy features.

Thanks for focusing on this more.

The above issue seems to have been resolved.

The mice have been fed and all treadmills seem to be
up and running.

By the way... I broke a thumbnail today...
A little filing and some Jello and it'll be good as new
in a few weeks!

An entire picture went missing

Post Fri Jul 01, 2005 8:49 am

One of my Lucerne 2004 pic went missing - all I get is a Red X instead of a picture - I now have to reprocess that image from the original.

Missing thumbnails I can understand, but missing images?

SLUG YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE

Post Fri Sep 09, 2005 5:59 pm

Slug .. I am never certain if you know when the system is really slow, but today it is glacial.
And I see at least one response by you is to shut down access to favorites list. (during peak times) That is like a kick in the gut. Seeing and commenting is the lifeblood of this site.

I do hope sincerly that you get and keep fast servers, have wide open pipes, and keep us informed daily when there are serious problems.

You know, Mr Married Man, chronic performance on this site could lead to mass defections and the ultimate failure of your very successful enterprise.

I agree; especially, during peak hours

How much more money do you need? How much will the upgrades cost? How about limiting membership until it is worked out?

I wasn't clear in the above post. What I meant is, I'd rather pay a bit more for performance than have an inconsistent service. And, I realize you need the money from membership; but, if you can't handle the traffic . . . I am curious about the cost and your equipment needs.

Well I am glad its not just me that has been experiencing problems over the last couple of days - I was begining wonder.

I have also had a horrendously slow speed for all aspects of using PBase which is extremely inconvenient and frustrating to say the least. I do hope this gets resolved because so far I have been extremely happy with this site and all of its functions. I accept there will be minor blips from time to time so hopefully this problem, whatever it is, will be resolved soon.
