Canon i560 ink cartridges

The i560 uses BCI-3ebk for black ink and the BCI-6 for color, but the BCI-6 cartridges has the same physical form factor as the BCI-3 series cartridges. Has anyone ever try the BCI-3 color ink cartridges in the i560? Thanks!

Others have tried it and it will work (it won't hurt the printer). BUT, the colors will be off because they are different than the BCI-6 colors so all your profiles will be off.

If you really wanted to experiment I suppose you could get the profile from another printer that used the BCI-3 series.

One thing to remember is that the ink is used as a coolant for the printhead so extended use may clog the head.
