Color shift while printing

I have a Lexmark Z705 printer and whatever I print the colors seem to be redder than what they appear on screen. Is there a way to synchronize the color temperature of the printer and the monitor.
My monitor is currently set at 6500 K.
Any help is appreciated,
TIA.

There is - you can either tweak the printer driver settings by trial and error or buy a program like Pantone's PrintFIX that will create a custom profile for your printer.

BTW, just setting your monitor for 6500K does not mean that it is displaying colours properly. If you are serious about digital photography you need a monitor calibration tool.
