Epson 2200 ink will not register!

I am printing with the epson 2200, with OSX. The light cyan (full) will
not register. The light continues to flash. I even tried a second cartridge, reloading the software and unplugging the printer! The printer has been
working fine until I ran out of the light cyan. The epson cartridges have
been carefully handled as well. The printer does not go thru the cycle
to charge the cartridges.

Any suggestions!

Do you use CFS now?

Have you checked the contacts in the receiver slot for that cartridge? Perhaps they are somehow blocked or fouled, but I don't see how that could happen.

Just a though.
