Epson R1800 Bulk Ink kit from InkRepublic.com

Post Sun Apr 03, 2005 7:43 am

I know many people are going to buy Epson R1800 to replace 1280 or 2200. For the long term plan, if you guys want to save thousand bucks or even more, you can try out Ink Republic's bulk ink system for R800/R1800

InkRepublic.com website:
http://www.InkRepublic.com

Installation:
http://www.inkrepublic.com/Installation.asp

Basically R800 and R1800 are using the same bulk ink kit:
http://www.inkrepublic.com/ProductDetail.asp?item=R800

I have noticed that many people here are fedup with other supplies' CIS/CFS, it's a good chance to try the spongeless system from Ink Republic.

Reusable components is also a very good buying point
http://www.inkrepublic.com/Compatibility.asp

That means you can buy their kit and use the parts for your future printer without paying the whole system again.

The beauty of getting a bulk ink system is not only is saves a lot of ink cost but also filling your own ink.
With this type of bulk in kit, you can flush out your ink and fill whatever ink you want.
Also, is inkrepublic.com the only company that makes R1800 bulk ink kit?
Does anyone else know any other source?
I checked Ebay but don't have the faith to buy it.

yes, I do have Inkrepublic's system, so far so good.
but mine is not R2400. I do not have R2400 printer. Epson R2400 printer is still very expensive...

I've been using the InkRepublic system since last Oct. It's worked very well on my R800. I don't believe I have had a single instance of head clogging since I've installed it. I'm not a large volume user, but do use that
printer 2-4 times a week.

Both their product and customer service are two thumbs up!

If you want cheap system with lower quality, then you can buy the system from China or Hongkong, most likely, you throw money to trash can.

I've purchased a Chinese system from Ebay last Jun, that's nothing but problelm. I also got a quote from China, their system is $9.00 including ink if you purchase 5 pieces. of course, you need to pay for the shipping. But be very careful, with such low price ink and system, you are actually destroying your printer and you are wasting your time and money on getting a single instance of good nozzle.

The only thing good for Chinese system is the good looking... that's it. nothing worthy to try. the system kept giving me droplet on my expensive paper. and the ink leak out form bottle eventually.

If you really want a good system, try the one made in USA not made in China. That's all my experience! good luck!

Thanks for your information. This makes sense.
I am not going to fool around my expensive printer with low quality of Chinese CISS.

R800/R1800 ink

Post Thu Aug 18, 2005 10:47 pm

been trying InkRepublic R2400 system, experience about 75% saving on ink cost. Their chipset is designed to not stay at full level but less than 100%, this is great saving because it can avoid head cleanings.

I am also amazed on their R2400 ink.

Have you guys ever tried InkRepublic's R1800 ink ???

epson R1800 ink is different from other models, just wondering if I can get same result from InkRepublic's ink?

I am not sure about InkRepublic's ink, but I did email them, and they said their ink is made in USA with pretty good quality.

I have not tried InkRepublic's system yet, but again my only suggest is not to buy the low quality ink and system from China.

I did try a CIS from China that I purchased from ebay before, the auto balance ink bottle is just a joke, it cannot work at all. The worst part is their ink, they put "Water" in ink. very dishonest people.

I had the same question too, but if you go to inkrepublic website, you should be able to look the details:
http://www.inkrepublic.com/Members/R1800/index.asp

I've researched on line, saying InkRepublic is the only one who can conquer R1800's limitation - that huge bar right in the middle of print head traveling area.
Perhaps, Epson is blocking all CISS makers. No wonder nobody has R1800 CIS except Ink Republic.
