What do you call this?

I have seen this technique used so I tried it with fairly good results.
I'd like to know the correct term to describe it. How about "spot-lighting"?
Does anyone know?

Reminds me of when you take a portion of a map, such as a city, and enlarge it, and show the enlarged portion off to the side of the original map - this is called an inset, I believe.

On engineering drawings, it's simply referred to as a "Detail".

Might call it 'blow-up' or 'zoom-in'. Are we sure you're not showing off the great detail shown in that photo ;^) I do like the shot.

I think it's a "callout," although that term may only apply to text with arrows.
