Hi,

What do you think of these images? Is it still too dark? I tried to add some effects to make it look interesting.

Your choise of something like HDR seems to be right, but are you really sure that a more glossy or contrasty picture isn't better?

I agree, more contrast could punch it up nicely. In photoshop, there are several ways of increasing the contrast -- contrast adjustment, levels, and curves.

These days, I usually use curves, but that took me a while to get the hang of. I would suggest the Levels adjustment -- it gives you more control than just the contrast adjustment, but is more intuitive than curves. I often start with Auto Levels just to get a rough idea. Basically, what you need to do to increase contrast is stretch out the histogram so it uses the full dynamic range.
