This site was created for fine art photographers, however its useful to anyone interested in selling or buying artworks. If you're interested in the business of art, this site might be a good resource.

Has nice listing of fine art photographers not all inclusive, but quite nice. I have no connection with the site, just have it as a resource.

Hello, Rene,

I had a quick gloss over the site. Looks like a good resource portal. Thanks for sharing!

The list of fine art photographers they compiled seems to me a bit centered on English-speaking photographers. In my humble opinion, all past Hasselblad award winners should be considered masters in this field. But as you said, it's impossible to be all inclusive.

However, Josef Sudek should almost certainly merit a place there. :D

You won't get any arguments from me. Joseph Sudek is one of my all time favorites and a huge inspiration. I also love Sara Moon (French photographer). I pour over books of the works of these two and just marvel at their abilities.--Rene

This is the first time for me to ever hear of Sara Moon. I went to Staley-Wise gallery's homepage and checked out some of her works there. They seem to have a fine collection on glamour photography.

Personally studio-type photos rarely touch me in general. But occasionally I also fell under the spell. Sally Mann almost always strikes me with absolute awe. There're also some less-known artists in this genre. Tono Stano, a fellow countryman of Sudek, is creative with human forms. Here's one example:

Last year I saw a gallery show titled "Pride and Strength" by one contemporary photographer from Africa and was hugely impressed. Her site:

It's always fun to look at photos, so thank you again for that bookmark. :)

René, maybe you have already heard of the news - anyways, I just read this month's Black and White Magazine in which there's an editorial interview with Sarah Moon. She's actually born in England, but brought up in France. The article is kind of short, but it was accompanied with several very nice photo prints over 7 pages.

According to the magazine, two current exhibitions of works by Sarah Moon are on show in London at this moment.
