Hi there,

I'm just wondering if anyone out there does anything to their photos after they're printed? For example, painting, scratching, transfers, inks, crayon, etc.

If so, what do you do, what process?

cheers

I used to do quite a lot of handcoloring of b&w toned images with Marshall oils. Since I have been shooting digitally, I have been looking for a way to handcolor ink jet prints. I have tried a few things, but have not been pleased with the results. I read about a method by Theresa Airey in a book and decided to give it a try. I am pretty pleased with this one. You use Conte Pastel pencils very softly and then you sort of soften it in with cotton rolled on a stick. I am doing this image as a donation to "Art in Bloom" a fund raiser by the University of Kentucky Art Museum.

You also can paint on them. You can actually paint the paper and and then print on the painted paper. You have to do some extra prep steps prior to printing.
