B&W Rainbows??

I've been wondering something for some time now, and have never had the opportunity to try it myself. What would a rainbow look like in Black & White? Either taken with B&W film, or digitally desaturated, will anything show up at all, or will it look like many shades of grey? I'd ask for someone to post an example, but seeing how long it took for the fisheye pizza to show up, I could be waiting a long time.
Thanks in advance for quenching my curiosity.

This is far easier than the fisheye pizza!

I just did a quick conversion (I must say this isn't something I've tried in the past!). The effect changes depending on which channel is emphasised, so I'm sure it'll look more interesting if I worked on it more.

Ahhhhh. Finally I can sleep again at night. Thanks for posting that image. I'm sure it's a much more interesting image in color, but it's cool to see it this way, too. It's like the sun is shining right down on that building.

Any more examples out there?

I think it would've looked more interesting if I'd left the rainbow in colour and the rest in b&w? Maybe.....
