Thank you so much for all the info.

I am playing around with the different methods. If nothing works, then it will be time to spend some money.

But I have learned alot in the process.

I will let you know how things turn out.

Thanks,
Anthony

You know you got Bloatware when you need the Pentagon's supercomputers to help you post process your images.

Different programs out there besides Photoshop. Be the one that chooses the path less traveled. Good way to keep some money in your pocket, too.

Photoshop is popular because it is absolutely spectacular. I've just
recently begun to use it and to see the differences. I spent about 8 years
with the various Paintshop Pro versions (a good program).

If one is taking a class somewhere you may be able to get the
full program for $300 with an academic discount. And then there's
always Photoshop Elements, which has the basic photo portions.

MAIN thing, if one doesn't have enough memory free, close the other
programs. A friend had Microsoft Word, Excel, and MANY other programs
open at the same time and Photoshop was sluggish. Also of course
one of those virus-watching slower-downs. Closing those made a world
of difference. Even with viewing pbase galleries.

As someone else recommended, marking another drive to be the
scratch disk can help with speed too (unless the other disk is almost
full or is an old slow disk).
