Help with Photoshop

Post Wed Mar 05, 2008 9:49 pm

In real life not that intense blue. How can I give the dark cloud and the water a bit more greyish tint ?

Help much appreciated.

One way to do this:
- create a hue/saturation adjustment layer
- select the blue colours from the pulldown menu and/or click the cloud/sea area with the pipet
- desaturate and/or change hue until you're satisfied.

Thank you Ernst.
The picture came much closer to "real world". I have been a bit old fashion in my view when it comes to manipulate pictures
and for that reason not learnt all about Photoshop. I have to improve my knowledge.

as an aside or a "FYI" note that the camera is actually, in all probability, correctly rendering the colour saturation... it's just that human eyes, as lighting decreases, switch to relying on their rod cells which are not sensitive to colour information (they are "grey scale" black and white sensors)

personally I like the hyper saturated sunset/sunrise look (and remember most film does this too) though YMMV.
there is no .sig

You are probably right. I don't know if it is general or if it is only me, but I much easier accept the saturation if it goes in red and yellow (black).
