IDEAS FOR FEBRUARY

Post Fri Jan 28, 2022 10:02 pm

Looking for subject matter for our February challenge. Of course, I like a scavenger hunt, but let's see what everyone thinks.

Scavenger hunts are always fun. Maybe one with a theme or themes, not necessarily about St. Valentines Day, not that I can think of a theme offhand. We did a scavenger hunt once with colours I think. Four or five blue, ditto for green, for red, etc. Not wedded to that idea, just thinking out loud, so to speak.

If we do a Scavenger Hunt, you could choose 6 colors.

Hi. Thanks for keeping up with ideas. A scavenger hunt with 6 colors sounds doable.
I'm struggling with health issues related to heart and lungs; having a lot of fatigue and shallow
breathing. May have to have lungs drained but would do my best to keep up. Carol

I also like the idea of quotes, poems, etc. Here is a probably silly idea, what about poems etc. that have a colour in the title? Or maybe not! I am happy to go with another scavenger hunt with colours, or one with songs, poems, etc. which I do like a lot.

What if everyone gives me a list of 6 song, poem, book, movie, tv show, haiku titles that mention color and I put it together into a master list of 40 or so? We can also add 5 "wild card" entries where you can pick a color subject that is not on the master list.

Here are some links if you want to looks for ideas

I assume you don't mean we each give 6 each for movies, books, poems, etc? I'll give six mixed topics with colour (and thanks for the links, by the way!) but happy to give more if necessary!

1. The Color Purple, by Alice Walker (Movie and book)

2. Big Yellow Taxi, by Joni Mitchell (song)

3.Blue Bayou, by Linda Ronstadt (song)

4. My Love is Like a Red, Red Rose, by Robbie Burns (poem)

5. The Black Snake, by Mary Oliver (poem)

6. Green Water, Green Sky, by Mavis Gallant(book)

I'd just as soon find my own quotes, books, or song titles. It gives me an excuse to dig deeper.
