All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost ~ J. R. R. Tolkien
#30 - coming to the end of a deep, dark challenge!! So I'm posting a bright and cheerful image today.
I have learned a lot about Robert Frost - I have never heard of him before - and I do feel quite sorry for him. Life must have been hard for him - his poems were quite sad and morbid. BUT he did write good poetry - thanks Lynn for suggesting him

It was a really nice challenge to do, associating on poem titles. I didn't know the poet, but now I know. Photo is of the installation by Cai Guo-Qiang at the Goma in Brisbane, I thought very suitable for the poem as we go all to desert places. Thanks to us all who participated in this challenge. Cheers Mieke
A (wo)man should hear a little music, read a little poetry, and see a fine picture every day of his/her life, in order that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful. (free to J.W. von Goethe)
Thanks Lynn for your suggestion. I have liked the series, looking for dark photos to go with sad, cruel scenes. Robert Frost's works are very touching, very sad, and this poem here is especially more sadder than the others
The Impulse - A poem about finality and my final entry for March. This was one of the harder challenges I've done. Thank you Dawn and Janice for suggesting it. I must admit, I read more poetry this month that I have for many, many years. And that is a good thing. Hope to see all of you in April's challenge.

Thank you Lynn for suggesting Robert Frost, the poet I did not hear about before. I found his poetry quite difficult, his works often are very sad and depressing, so I was trying rather to find those more optimistic. Anyway, it's good I had a chance to meet a new poet for me.
