Weekly Informal Challenge number 175 is "Relativity":
This week we offer the Weekly Informal Challenge"Relativity". This theme should require putting on our "thinking caps" as we explore finding subjects that display this theory while keeping it fresh. It took Einstein ten years to work out the math after coming up with this theory so I'm adding this a day early to give you a longer weekend This should play off of the August "Connections" Challenge nicely. Remember (most of all) HAVE FUN.
What is relativity? Succinctly put, it is the notion that the laws of physics are the same everywhere. We here on Earth obey the same laws of light and gravity as someone in a far off corner of the universe.
The universality of physics means that history is provincial. Different viewers will see the timing and spacing of events differently. What for us is a million years may just be a blink of an eye for someone flying in a high speed rocket or falling into a black hole.
It's all relative.
Perhaps if we simplify it a little more it is about a matter of perspective. While the laws remain the same, we all see it from unique perspectives...
