This image was taken the day before the challenge was announced, but I did not have a good look at it until I was processing images last night.
I've attended four car shows this month (something I used to not be interested in) and have found the "car culture" to be very interesting, and also to what ends car owners will go to customize their prize possessions essentially creating pieces of art out of them.

Have a great week everyone. :D

Isn't Art nothing more than human presence creating beauty where there was none before?

This type of art I find very appealing; it shows great skill and creativity, I am sure others will see a lot more in it.

Double challenge Entry, Movies and Arts...
In 2008, we suffered from a devastating hurricane. In Galveston Texas, over 40,000 huge live oak trees were killed by the saltwater storm surge. Local artists have come together to carve the oak stumps in to beautiful works of art. There are dozens of these sculptures around Galveston now. This one is a large great Dane. He is carved straight from the stump.
These artworks helped to cheer up many, and has created a little tourism income too!
The movie I selected from 2000 (I'm going in date order still) is Best in Show. I never saw the movie. Sounds dull, but the title is perfect for this fabulous carving.

All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost ~ J. R. R. Tolkien
