Both would be a challenge. Leaning toward Aberrations, though, that seems to have the least votes.

Let me tell you a little story that sums up my opinion of " August Aberrations." <G>

The O.P.mentioned LensBaby as an aberration device.

Years ago my wife handed me a data sheet on a LensBaby. I thought she meant she wanted one for her birthday so I bought her one! It turns out she just meant it was a weird lens that I might enjoy learning about. For years neither of us could find a use for it, finally I sold it on eBay almost unused.

I looked again at the samples on the LensBaby web site. They were all wedding photos! A wedding photographer can focus the flowers or the bride's face and blur the rest. Most professional photographers I've spoke with HATE weddings.

Partially out of focus images, other then via depth of field, were not our cup of tea.

I'm hoping you will pick abstracts.

Hi all!
Because some have asked about my idea of Blues, this is some explanation! I meant the mood of blues not necessarly, but beautiful in B&W!
I just thought of the many possibilities, especially in people photography, urban shots, music scenes, daily life and so on....!
Thanks for your interest
Many regards
Boris

It is hard to do aberrations with a point and shoot camera, if you don't use photoshop.

BUT, I am FOR aberrations in the challenge... just being the devils advocate.

Hello all,

I did a count about your and my preference !

AA 1 (Alterations) : 8

AA2 ( Abstracts) : 10

Blues : 2

So a majority seems to be for ABSTRACTS !
So, Scott, you initialized this choice, could you open the thread about "Abstracts", please ?

Thank you and to all good shooting !
