WEEKLY INFORMAL CHALLENGE: Week 12

Post Fri Jul 02, 2010 10:13 pm

Weekly Challenge: "Independence" / "Freedom".

Show us your Independence Images and/or Freedom Images.

"I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it." ~ Thomas Jefferson

A few simple rules:

1. Themes are posted on Fridays to give you the weekend to come up with a FRESH shot for the challenge to post through Monday.

2. This is about interaction, learning, being challenged and having fun so... HAVE FUN!

3. The themes are specific but interpretations are broad. Stay on theme but PLEASE feel free to think outside the box.

4. Look at others' submissions, comment as moved to do so and offer supportive and constructive feedback. Please don't just post for exposure. Look and at least comment on some.

5. Did we already mention: HAVE FUN!!!

Freedom isn't free! I used this photo for the 3rd in my Beatles songs, but it pertains here also; http://www.pbase.com/image/126200654

I had to think deeply about the theme. I didn't connect it immediately with the 4 July.
But here are the results of my thinking

I will view and comment on your images tomorrow. We are hosting our 8th annual BBQ and Domino Tournament at our house, so there are a lot of preparations to be made. Have a great day wherever you are, and if you celebrate it, Happy 4th. :D

We have June gloom in July (meaning it's all overcast), so we'll skip the fireworks tonight. For some red, white and blue, here's a shot of a wild artichoke forest in a nearby canyon instead:

Happy 4th of July to those in the US or elsewhere who celebrate it.
