MAY Calendar shots - Calendar Girls style

Post Tue May 25, 2010 10:31 am

It's short notice again, Bev and Nicky are busy so I decided to give it a try and announce the subject for May.

We have a nice Spring in the Northern Hemisphere and probably the equaly nice Fall in the Southern Hemisphere. So the idea for this months shot in the style of the "Calendar Girls" is - FLOWERS :D :P Hope you like it

Have fun, join in and post your photos here since Friday the 28th till the end of May.

This is our inspiration

P.S. Some people missed the April Calendar Girl subject which was "Automobile", if you wish you may still add your photo to the thread

Allow me Matylda. Hopefully this will translate easily:

The movie is about women in a small village who when faced with a need to raise funds hit upon the idea of printing a calendar featuring some of the members of the Knapely chapter of the Women's Institute discreetly posing nude while engaged in everyday activities, such as baking and knitting, in order to raise funds.

This month-by-month challenge is an attempt to imitate that idea by submitting self portraits that are discreetly nude while using the monthly theme (flowers this month) as a way/prop to hide the essentials.

Does that help?

It's a shame but this challenge seems to have ground to a halt :(

Is there any chance of it reviving I wonder?

I hear a faint beat. Still a few days to the end of the month. Perhaps we need a cause to give to and a goal of actually printing a calendar at the end with the proceeds going to that cause.
