Hello everyone,

I do hope you don't mind me using the PaD Discussion board for this. I felt most comfortable posting here since I have made some great friends and contacts over the years.

As many of your know, I am in the Air Force part-time working with an Air Cadet Squadron. We are taking them into the bush mid-May where they will learn survival techniques. As part of their training, they will build "bottle rockets" or a.k.a. "model rockets". For this, they use air tight film canisters (Fujifilm ones are the best, they are very air tight). The problem is, in this digital world, the film canisters are becoming very hard to find.

I need 65 of them. I have only managed to collect 6.

If you have any canisters that you are willing to donate or know of any places they would have some, please contact me to make arrangements. I can not offer to pay postage (logistical nightmare, especially with the military) but I will gladly post a group photo of my cadets with their rockets with special thanks in my galleries with links to your respective galleries.

Much thanks in advance for any help,

Linda

I'm so sorry that I don't have any to send. They were always so useful to keep little things in, spare change in the car etc. However, over the years I've lost them and a search round the house didn't produce any at all. :(

But at least I can bump this back up the forum in case someone else can help you.

Good luck.

I read your message a few days ago and have since looked around thinking I would find some, but did not. Once upon a time these canisters were so plentiful and now they've disappeared. Have you tired various photo processing services? Perhaps they could help you. I was also thinking you could contact the magazines "Popular Photography" or "Outdoor Photographer". Maybe they would be able to help you. Best of luck!
