Surely you have heard of the great restaurants and wonderful food we have in New Orleans. Eating is a social event for most of us as well as nourishment. We talk about food and experiment with food. And, no, I do not eat alligator, nor nutria or any of those other things that crawl in the muddy swamps. I like, and cook food with fresh seasonings and lots of flavor. My background is mostly Creole (French) cooking and some German, learned from my mother's mother. My mother was a fabulous cook who could make a gourment dinner out of eggs and parsley with a nice sauce, I kid you not. She could bake brioche' like none I have ever eaten--and my brother burned her recipes after her death so I cannot learn it.
I like the September Challenge and thank whoever thought of it. I shall try to participate every day.
