And to plug a photo I took a couple of weeks ago that expresses "cold blue" better, one of the cool things about living close to the river is the "brume de mer," which is French for "sea smoke." It is the local name for the mist that forms above the (relatively) warm water and the cold air. On this day, there was also enough wind to make the mist drift, forming white tufts on anything in its way:
