This weeks Totally Informal Transglobal Challenge is

"White on White"

Don't get too hung up on interpreting the words, we are looking for your personal interpretation of the subject!

As always, please post links to your freshly taken images here on Thursday

good luck!

Lee and Bev

(with help from the Exeter meetup team!)

Ah ha! I used this very title in my White gallery back in April last: http://www.pbase.com/maire/image/96000478
So now it's back to the photo think tank to look for a pale and interesting image to capture between now and Thursday!

No need for me to consult the dictionary this time 'round.

I can hear the sighs of relief clear across the continents.

NO! Say it isn't so!
I can't go thru a challenge without an understanding of the technicality of terms!!!

so here . . .from WIKI!
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=White&oldid=228763620
"Examples include classic "white" substances such as sugar, foam, pure sand or snow, cotton, clouds, and milk. Crystal boundaries and imperfections can also make otherwise transparent materials white, as in the milky quartz or the microcrystalline structure of a seashell. This is also true for artificial paints and pigments, where white results when finely divided transparent material of a high refractive index is suspended in a contrasting binder. Typically paints contain calcium carbonate and/or synthetic rutile with no other pigments if a white color is desired."
