When a perfectly good photo just feels too lame and gets boosted up - then you´ll get Images From Mars!

Not that these pics present any "other planet" but are portraying some very distant and far far away places in not so traditional light.
In many I´ve used long shutter speeds some of which in daylight using an ND400 filter, and given some HDR treatment.

I have been to this spot since 2008 photographing this spot and seeing changes that happen due to weather, snow, or just man and garbage
interefering with nature.. If eveyone who brings things into the woods , would just remeber to bring them back out again, wildlife would not
be made to suffer and cope.

I am in the process of posting images of the Renaissance Faire in Irwindale, California. I had a great time there, and so did others, judging by the images.

Formerly known as The Drowning Machine, the Bow River weir has been redesigned into a water playground for paddlers.
Originally built in 1908, the weir had a terrible undertow that made it dangerous to anyone near it's path.
The construction and redevelopment took two years, and was opened in the Spring of 2012.
Renamed to Harvie Passage, it's become a popular recreation spot for local kayakers.

I spent Sunday, July 15, 2012 shooting an American Civil War reenactment at a local restored 19th century village.

If you have never witnessed a battle reenactment, they are quite intense and well worth it!

Earlier this month I started Altered Reality, consisting of abstracts, both manipulated and non-manipulated images. Usually the original image is embeded & mention the technique or settings, included links to plugins.
My 1st Kaleidoscope image won Best of Show in Rossmoor Camera Club creative division. Knew it would get some laughs but shocked it won 1st place let alone BIS. (And it was a woman judge so even more shocked!)
My other creative entry, non-manipulated Shadow Play did not place.
