I recently did a gallery showing the process of a Cicada coming out of it's shell, expanding it's wings, and hardening up into an adult. It took about 4 hours to photograph.

this gallery came about because I went to Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge with a Canon 80-200L f/2.8 and a Tamron 1.4X teleconverter and it was low tide...a nice test for the combination. I always want to get the bird in its behavioral habitat and, well....I like it.
