Okay, I'll play.
This isn't exactly a gem but certainly a shot I didn't expect to turn out.
This was shot at an abandoned church yesterday on Indian Ridge. I'll have to go back to get a shot of the outhouse as the sun was directly behind it.
The door is boarded up but the all the windows are empty. Unfortunately, they were also 4 feet above my head. By placing a cinderblock on some beams laying outside, I was able to peer inside.
I shot it holding the camera over my head and into the window, guessing at the settings.
It came out underexposed (should've bumped the ISO to 100) but with a little help from levels, I brightened it up. The light in the back is shining through the boarded up door.
I'm amazed that I was able to hold the camera still enough at 1/30 and that I didn't have to level the shot (could use just a tad though). Maybe that's a clue that I shoud start shooting with my eyes closed.
