Queation about PAD

Hi I'm new and would like a clarification about PaD.
I select one gallery as my Pad gallery. But after that which photo from that gets shown as a the photo of the day? The first one in the gallery, or last one or at random?

If I simply create a gallery as the Pad gallery, will the last uploaded image be selected as the one?
