my pad photos not showing up daily

I have something weird going on... I posted a pad picture couple days ago that didn't show up in the picture a day gallery. I just added a picture that I took today and it is still not showing up in the pad gallery for people to view. I double checked to make sure the entire deaf gallery was checked for PAD. It is definitely chosen for PAD each day but my photos are just not showing up in there. Any advice here?

First of all, make sure that you upload the pic straight to the gallery (rather than copy from another gallery) otherwise it will show up a way down the list (on the date and time it was originally posted).

Secondly, sometimes there can be a delay in the pics appearing. Even though it says the page updates every ten minutes it can often be an hour, or even more. In this case your picture would appear a page or two down the list rather than on the front page.

Finally, you may be unlucky. (This has happened on the odd occasion) and there may be some 'bug' and your photos aren't reaching the gallery. In this case the only thing to do is email help@pbase.com and let them know.

Hit F5 (refresh) a couple of times. I also have that, and your browser just gets the cached page instead of the new one. I think that should solve it.

I also notice that pbase doesn't update as frequently as they used to. I think more and more people are signing up and the servers get overloaded, like last night I could barely get on pbase and then I'd get kicked out. I even tried mozilla firefox and the same thing happened. I normally use Explorer. I haven't tried Navigator.

I have been having the problem that mine NEVER shows up in the recent pad uploads. I contacted pbase and they said it was server problems. Mine still aren't showing up and I just contacted them again. I wondered if I was the only one having this problem.

It happened recently that one of mine didn't show up. I moved it to another gallery and then moved it back and then it showed up.

Maybe create a new gallery, move everything to the new gallery and then upload a pic and see if that works.

I have tried reloading it. And my uploads show in the recent uploads but they never show up in the recent PAD. I figure if there is only a small percentage of people this is happening to then it's something on our end, I just can't figure out what it is. When I upload today I will try turning off my firewall first and see if that is it.

Exactly the same thing is suddenly happening to me - just the past two days. The really weird thing is that the picture is getting to the meta gallery and others can obviously see it as I have comments on yesterdays. But still, today yesterday's pic is not showing in my Feb PAD gallery and nor is today's upload.

Bizarre.

The same thing is happening to me. Yesterday's post is missing from the PAD metagallery, yet tonight's post is there. Same thing happened yesterday with the post from the day before... I've been doing this for almost two years now, and this is the first I've seen of this... I know there's a big upgrade planned for next weekend, maybe the work has already begun?

Just to keep up to date on this - today everything is fine. The 'missing' images are safely in their February PAD gallery as they should be.

Quite where they went walk-about to in the meanwhile, I still haven't a clue!!

I think it's pretty likely that small hitches like this may be linked to the server upgrades and changeovers -- but then what do I know about such complex systems? Not a lot! Anyone with more experience of such things out there who'd like to enlighten us a bit more?

I have realised today that I had not submitted February's gallery to replace January's. Hence my daily shots have not been uploaded but maybe yours is a different problem. Chris

I'm still having the same problem. Even hours later, my PAD for today isn't showing up in the recent uploads to PAD.

They found the problem. I have monthly galleries in my Photo_a_day gallery and I have to select the current monthly gallery as my PAD for it to show in the recent PAD uploads.

I did it and it worked. !!
