Favor needed - unbiased, no-love opinion needed.

Hi all,

I need a huge favor.

I am not a professional photographer, but have been very into it for the last 3 years. I have reached a stage where I have printed and framed a lot of photos and have them displayed in my house. My family, friends and relatives have all expressed great admiration and have asked for prints of their own.

The guy I give to frame these photos and the photo studio that prints them have both expressed awe at the photos and have asked me if I am a pro.

Ok, so all this makes me feel good. But here is where greed comes in.
Actually, I need a honest unbiased, no-love opinion about my photos and if I should try to sell them. I have set up a paypal account and a shopping cart but have not implemented it yet.

Should I? I would really appreciate it if you could let me know. Leave a comment on the gallery.

Here are some of my recent galleries.

Hi Karthik,

I can relate to your question - I am standing on the brink of the same thing right now!

I took a look around your galleries and there are definitely some pictures there that I would be happy to have hanging on my wall, particulalrly some of the detail shots that you have taken in the Taj Mahal. However, they are mixed in with pictures that are more personal to you and, I sauspect, less saleable.

My advice would be to be very strict wth yourself and to select a few really strong, technically excellent pictures (and you definitely have some of these) to put in a separate portfolio / prints for sale gallery.

Of course - I haven't done this myself yet, so I'm a fine one to be offering advice :0)

Best of luck - let me know how it works out for you.

James.
