Today I found myself in a quite unlikely place. Holy Rood Cemetery in Washington, D.C. I had other plans for photography today, but there was a light rain falling and I decided to drive around Georgetown a bit while waiting for the sun to make an appearance. I spotted this cemetery along the road and was blessed with a stormy sky. However, when entering the grounds it became clear that this cemetery has been abandoned for years. Being that it is in the heart of our Nation's capital, that struck me as both odd and sad. All through my walk, I couldn't help but wonder when the last time a person came to visit a departed family member.

Having said all of that, please take a look at Holy Rood Cemetery. I needed a song that was both requiem and uplifting. This was what I came up with.
