But - as you might have noticed - I cannot find enough time to comment.
Therefore, although I will continue with the challenge, I will not link to my pictures in this thread anymore.
If you like to take a look at them, you know where to find them.
Thanks for all your nice comments and keep up the good work.
Perhaps next month?

I know exactly what you mean - I think this month is a bit of a victim of its own success - it's hard work, maybe too hard :?

maybe we should choose a more "difficult" topic next month....
or create different threads with diffrent topics... ??? or limit the number of participants...????
What do you think??

just my 2 cents
cheers

In my opinion we should try the following next month:

1.) Choose a more "challenging" theme

2.) Participants adhere to the "guidelines/rules" to the challenge. There are:
- Post images taken specifically for the challenge only
- Comment on at least of some of the images of other participants
- Stay on theme

To this I would add:
- If you participate, do so from the beginning of the challenge, and post consistently for the whole month

That should take care of any ambiguities or misunderstandings.

I think the monthly challenges can be a blast, and they have been, if we have good theme and people adhere to some basic rules and etiquette.

Again, only my .02 cents worth. Let me know what you think!
I'm going out shooting, see you all later. Have a great day. :D

I've had a couple of very hectic days, so I was not able to post. I've been taking student nurses weverywhere with me at work, to get them a feel for working at mental health. This was Tuesdays photo; http://www.pbase.com/image/121085737/medium The river was cold and foggy, but I liked the reflection on the still water. And yesterday's photo; http://www.pbase.com/yazziegirl/image/121085809/medium.
Today is my "friday" so I will try to catch up on comments tonight. Happy Thursday everyone.

The builders also completed our new Mental Health building. The administration selected 6 of my photos of Klamath County, They enlarged, matted and framed them. They are on the walls in a community room in the new building.

I have never seen a monthly challenge with this much participation. We are on pace to top 100 pages by the end of the month. It is QUITE an exercise just keeping up. I do fine when I'm in my office with dual screens and fast DSL so I can pull all of the entries from a page at once and look/comment and close one-by-one. The weekends on my Blackberry or on a phone modem are almost impossible. I have to stay at it almost non stop.

Someone mentioned not commenting on those (1) who are not participating fully for the month and/or (2) who are not leaving comments on others entries. Quite frankly, I could not tell you who they are because I'm too busy trying to just keep up. If I misses a single day I'm not sure I could catch up. I almost lost it when I was away from a long weekend (4 days because of ice/snow). I am really enjoying the entries in this challenge and some of the personal themes/challenges that some have layered into this theme. I think this challenge is as hard or as easy as you make it. If you are trying to grow, learn, perfect and experiment, it can be a fruitful endeavor.

Keep it up and keep them coming. I would hate to see some fall off because they don't have the time to comment.

I agree that it's difficult to keep up with the comments and I am probably best placed of anyone as I'm at home all day, but it is such a rewarding exercise and there is a fantastic standard of work being shown throughout this challenge, and all other challenges really.
Just do what you can is my advice. I'm sure no one is going to get uptight if someone else doesn't comment on their work - there are enough of us out there commenting after all!!!
Most of all - do it because you ENJOY it!

Ann :)
