Lately I've been updating my selective colouring gallery:

Almost forgot; also my motors galleries:

I really do appreciate if you could leave a comment. Constructive criticism is always welcome.

Cheers, Jorma

Did some work last night with water droplets and lighting. Colors are very intense and the detail is wonderful. These are striaght out of the camera - I batch processed them to resize and drop the resolution, but other than that no processing at all. Please let me know what you think and I'll be posting more soon.

I've been taking some close-ups of flowers for a while. I finally published them on my site.

I'm absolutely not a pro at this, but I would appreciate a comment :) :D
Is it really life if you don't have time to smell the roses?

When I shoot at a spot, I usually take tons of photo, and present 2-3 at Pbase, most of my galleries span a few years, in this one, I will overdue it and present a ton of photos shot in an hour. It will take me a litlle time to put them all up, don't do batch processing, since most photos are for others or other site with different needs.

We've just done a bit of reorganization and started up a Hummingbird Gallery with some exisiting and some new images that have been added. It's still small, but growing larger day by day:

Mirages

Post Wed Jun 17, 2009 10:28 am

I always thought Mirages happened only in deserts and hot tarmac, but noticed them on flat Norfolk beaches last week and quickly got fascinated by results I can vaguely associate with my favourite artist J.M.W. Turner eg http://www.tate.org.uk/servlet/ViewWork ... rkid=14822.

The technical explanation can be seen at http://mintaka.sdsu.edu/GF/mirages/mirintro.html , but I am more interested in playing about with light and maybe getting a bit artistic, as photographers may.

There is also a more poetic (literally and metaphoricaly) collection starting from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Faral ... mirage.jpg and proceeding to Mila's own collection.

I have put my mini collection at http://www.pbase.com/crisscross/mirages

Have some of you got more contributions?

Here is my first PAD gallery:

http://www.pbase.com/mclew/pad

The first few photos are devoted to guerrilla attacks in my garden. My cat is suffering the attention of a pair of scrub jays and it's fun to try catching the action. I doubt that I will ever catch both jays in one picture... do not have a lens wide enough!

I hope you enjoy them.

New Gallery:

On a recent trip to Northern Vancouver Island we were able to photograph a number of black bears. We've created a gallery featuring these bears and would love to have some feedback on it.

Hope you enjoy visiting this site:
