In relation to my picture of 9 March I did some research why the black swans were "grazing" in the shallow waters of the sea.
And some of us had never seen a black swan.
As time passes by quickly I have put a picture in colour in my knick knacks gallery, just for information.

Cheers Mieke

Almost 3 weeks of heavy rain. The river was low, and now its high. It can stop already! Lots of electrical outages (2 today!). I'm not keeping up, but will still post as I can.

ABSTRACT: http://www.pbase.com/image/142120849

Thanks to you all for your great guesses on which famous US person lives in Greenville, DE ~ it's Joe Biden, current Vice President of the US! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Biden
Believe it or not, I once dated his personal, professional photographer back in the late 1980's.....

Have a great weekend everyone, wherever you are! 8)

I really need a friend today.. it's our air show in town, and I have chosen not to go because I feel like yuck
.. I didn't think I could handle the hot weather and just being on my feet with no place to sit all day, and
bam some winter storm front comes in and it's total clouds, going to be very breezy and it's sweater weather.
Anyway, I live a couple miles from the airport and I got a few practice shots .. am going to go ahead and
share this one as my photo for the 17th, even though I will likely get more later today. Shooting the air
show has always been so fun, and I'm just disturbed that I am feeling "been there done that" enough to
choose to skip it... and I'm fearing I'll be sorry. Thanks for letting me ramble, I'm really torn and sad.
