Been so busy. Saturday morning was my time to prepare the gifts for my coworkers and finish my local destination cards. Saturday night was a Christmas party for my husband's office. http://www.pbase.com/lynnh/image/131252820
Hopefully I'm keeping up with comments. I believe I haven't missed too many.

17. Las Posadas; http://www.pbase.com/image/131260340/large We attended our community Las Posadas last night. Las Posadas means literally "the inns". It reenacts the journey of Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem, searching for shelter. At each stop the peope sing to the inn keepers "Please let us in. My wife is pregnant and tired." At each they are turned away. At the last stop, they are invited in for a party.

20. The Shepherds Carol; http://www.pbase.com/image/131275736/large There is a tiny local church that meets in a Grange Hall in Midland, Oregon. They have an annual "Live Nativity" on the weekend before Christmas. They bring live animals, and have humans as Mary, Joseph, shepherds and angels. They set it up at a local nursery in an empty green house.
