Wild...This red shouldered hawk was sitting on my fence in the backyard when I came home yesterday. The cage in the background is where my neighbor keeps a couple of constrictor type snakes they rescued. I guess the hawk thinks they might be lunch.

I might contribute a little bit later in the month to this challenge.
My very much-loved friend Fay died on the 9th April 2011.
I think you can imagine that I’m grieving.
This picture is a bit symbolic. It is autumn now down-under and I took it at Springvale Botanical Garden.
And now afterwards I think that my picture of Friday about the hot air balloon was also a kind of a prelude on the events to happen.

I'm very sorry to hear that Mieke lost her friend. Sad indeed.

I was out of town for the past 4 days. My husband and I left our flat prairie land in Sugar Land and drove a couple hundred miles to the central Texas Hill Country. It was great to get away for a long weekend. Both of us have been working TOO hard lately.
