Yesterday I took and posted a photo of the Calgary Tower, but today I had enough time to buy a ticket and go to the top.
I hadn't been up there in about twenty years, so I felt a bit like one of the tourists up there.

Anyway, a few years back they built an extension on the observation deck that has a glass floor.
It's a bit freaky to stand on, and although it's very scratched and hazy, you can still get a half decent shot from it

More rainy weather...some of the "painterly" effect is due to being taken through a car window.

Today, I took Bill to the VA Hospital to see the doctor (a few months back a federal officer threatened to arrest me if I took pictures of their rose garden. So, I saw this garden with Irises everywhere in an old-fashioned garden. http://www.pbase.com/image/112848415/medium

Spotted this old thing while taking a drive to the country.
Thought it worked well for a wide shot.

Last night, Lollie and I went to the Veteran's Memorial Pow Wow. The light in the arena is terrible. I did get this fantastic sky scene on the way in. http://www.pbase.com/image/112895159/medium
