You might actually be quite surprised. Terrain like this actually is quite rich in wildlife, not lifeless at all. Much more than you'd ever imagine. That area is loaded wih squirrels, hawks, eagles, and all sorts of other birds. Go to the forest and you'll see very little wildlife, but go here and you'll see an incredible amount

This picture and the hills look inviting. It would be nice to take the camera and explore the wildlife over there. You’re lucky Steve to live in such beautiful state

The picture below is like a gate to Dark Ages. It has great light and fantastic details on the walls. I’m not found of center composition but here I like it a lot
