To all you boring watchers out there, I'm on short hiatus from
bore-commenting due to constipation.

Once I get this toilet-thing out of my system, I'll hopefully
return to normal and visit your extremely boring photos.
[insert BIG yawn here]

In the meantime, flush twice and replace the paper as
necessary! Men: Don't forget to put the lid down.

:P

My seven year old daughter came in and saw this picture over my shoulder. Her words uttered were ewwwwww, that's gigusting. Another comment is that it looks like a pottery machine.

Me, I've seen toilets like this in dive bars so it's not too new. funny though!!

stop this bullshit

Post Sat Jun 18, 2005 3:09 pm

I'd like to kindly ask people here to stop bullshitting about "boring pictures"..., because there are no boring pictures - there are pictures you like or like not.

But anyway, believe me, better not to comment at all rather then put something like "nice" if you do not really mean that, otherwise it's a word without any meaning and couple of minutes of time that you lost writing this empty comment.

Are no boring pictures?

Post Sun Jun 19, 2005 1:57 am

I believe this is because the word "boring" is defined differently by all. To me the pictures of bugs and birds are usually boring. I like people and places shots. So I agree that it is a "like" or "not like" situation.

Semantics is/are always a pain on forums.

Well Jeremy, a comment short and to the point and non offensive for you to use would be "This boring picture is a nice shot!".
Seriously though, I also think that boringness is in the eyes of the beholder. All photos are interesting to someone, maybe only the photographer him/herself. And for most people, 99.9% of the pictures they see at a given timepoint are boring because they're not interested in the subject just then.
I think that pictures of flowers are boring too, but if someone offered to pay me for some flower shots then they would intantly become extremely interesting....

I agree Anna.

Like many PBasers, I have often thought about what it would be like to be a professional photographer. But the minute people ask you to take pictures of a subject you find boring, then it becomes more of a job rather than a release from normal life and a passion.

On another thought, does anyone else experience complete changes of view on your own pictures? I mean some days I look at my galleries and think that I am getting somewhere and that the pictures bear a second look, and other days I think how ordinary they all seem and where do I go from here?
