A number of people are mentioning Scone Palace. Sounds good to me - never been there ! Shall we try to name a time and place. Scone at 10 AM ?

The early bird gets the...

I'm not fussed about the where (was thinking more town-centre) - will just go with the flow but I guess we need to decide somewhere so folk know what the score is!

How does 10am sound to everyone else??
Town centre is not good traffic wise and parking wise. As I have mentioned before the Caithness Glass Factory is easy to get to, free parking and restaurant, a frothy coffee, a pot of tea, or maybe a coke and a chat about what to do for the rest of the day.
I have only ever been to the back door of Scone Palace and have meant to visit for a few years a good location.
The Hermitage at Dunkeld is also a good idea and is only half an hour up the road.
I am aware that some of the PADers know each other and/or are related to each other and are probably in discussions about Perth but what about the rest of us????
How are we going to recognise each other (red carnation or a PBase supporters badge) someone has to take the lead on this and make a decision as to what the plan of action is!!
I am keen and also willing to go with the flow but we all need to know what is happening.
Does anyone know how many are interested??

Looking forward to it

James

James makes some good suggestions so, as I sort of suggested the idea in the first place, let me firm things up a bit and take his advice.

WHEN: 10 AM Saturday 30th April

WHERE TO MEET: Perth, Caithness Glass Factory coffee shop (signposted from all main roads for those who have never been there - like me !) Depending on weather, we can then go on to town or country locations as we fancy.

WHO: All PADders are welcome. I have only ever met Lee but I expect we can recognise each other by Lowepro bags and Canon straps etc.

If you are coming, pmail me to confirm (with your email address if you wish) and I will circulate a list of people.

See you all there, Bill

Sounds good to me too. Anyone who is interested can register with the Scottish Padders' Forum (which is open to everyone), where we can carry on discussions that are not restricted to Pbase photographers.

Perhaps we should all wear pink wigs.

Oops! There's what happens when you go assuming that people can read more than a sentence at a time! Here's what it goes on to say...

"Scottish PAD
Come away in and have a chat. This is your place. Once I figure out how to have separate forums on my server, I will move this one away from the CPHRC forum. You never know, though, I might just get you all interested in Portuguese history... did you know 25 April is the 31st anniversary of the revolution? You do now!"

Hmmm!

Anyway, enough of that Stu - no need for another thread on this meet-up :)

Looking forward to it, just looking into train times - will probably get into Perth at 10, so maybe half past at the crystal place.
