I'm STILL having heaps of trouble downloading photos to my Monthly Challenge gallery - AND other galleries too. I open the gallery up and it doesn't say "EDIT THIS GALLERY" And other problems too many to type about...
I THOUGHT I HAD FIXED IT - BUT NO, I HAVEN'T. GGGRRRRRrrrrrrrr
What I have to do now is use Internet Explorer and download it and then go back to Firefox and do the editing (hopefully)
A friend of mine has similar problems and I wonder if it something to do with our browser... we both use xtra.co.nz

Could be. I don't have any problems on my browser but have problems when I use my sister's browser. Lots of times images don't show up. Firefox gave me a fit as well in the past.

Thanks Mieke, but Firefox is my favourite browser, but I have to use Internet Explorer now and then so I can edit the pics... and vice versa

Firefox is better, but I have the problems with both it and IE now... And it also happens when I use my laptop as well.

So I hope it is PBase's fault - and that they get it fixed ASAP

I haven't had any problem downloading or time problems downloading pics. So, I'm not sure why you and Mieke are having issues. The only time it gets slow is when I hit my profile button or my home button. Then, it can take a little while.
