Sept. 2012 Challenge "Nature Abstracts & Altered Reality"

I started playing with an image I thought might be fun to alter.. I had no idea where I was going. It turned out that really it wasn't that great an original, and it didn't want to 'transform' into anything I liked. The kalidescope filter was fun, and I couldn't choose one, so I did a mini quilt of 9.. all from the same base image I posted below the main one. hope you like it and have a colorful happy day!
