The Southern Live oak is a majestic and long-lived tree, with a crown that can spread up to twice its height. It can live to 200 years in an Urban setting and much longer under idea conditions. It is an evergreen having leaves that are a thick glossy dark green and it bares acorns.
These live oaks are 'wind resistant' because of their strong wood and stout shape which is important in this part of the country, where we get hurricanes every few years.

Hi,

I´m writing this from my old pc. My normal pc is down since this afternoon, as well as all my programms. The BIOS seems completely damaged, so I don´t know wether it can be repaired or wether I have to buy a new pc. Anyway, I have no idea how long this will last. I´ll try but I´m afraid I can´t join the challenge any longer at the moment. Sorry ! Wish you all the best and a lot of fun for the rest of the month.

That's a shame! hopefully you can retrieve all the data...
since I'm on Mac... I never encountered a serious problem... just saying...
Have lost all my older stuff on my PC so the old pictures are only on Pbase in small resolution... all originals are gone forever...

It was a great pleasure to see all your interesting contributions... we will miss you!
