LOL, we should really have a French word in there for Marielou and our other French Challengers

Alors, de quoi: ennui? Ou vacances, entre, démodé, décolletage??? :P

I'll add a couple into the list...

This sounds very promising, plenty of scope here for artistic interpretation, just might have to give this a go.

Yes, some explanation could be helpful ~ A scavenger hunt is a popular camp or party game in which individuals or teams seek to gather a number of specific items — usually without purchasing them — or perform tasks or take photographs as specified by a list of subjects\ideas. In the game the goal is usually to be the first to complete the list, although players can also be challenged to complete the tasks on the list in any number of creative ways.

The list suggested here is challenging even for English as a first language. I'd like to see you all give some suggestions for the list.

I don't see any problem with the challenge. I am not a native English speaker myself, and though some words may be difficult, and I'll have to consult a dictionary for some definitions, that is what makes this fun. It is a "Challenge" after all. :D

And Maaike "Gezellig" is a great word. :D

Thank you so much Carol for the explanation. :D
So, most of you like to play like they played when they are children with their new toys : cameras ! I better understand !
That's nice to suggest to add some French words :
pétale
Onde
Diffus

.....
How will you proceed ?
A picture for the 1st word of the list the first day and so ?
Or choose a word an make declinaison around it for several images, so several days ?
What are the precise rules ?
It is good for a challenge that everybody works with the exact same rules, don't you think ?
Good to add Dutch words too !

Do you want I translate my proposed French words ?

OK People,

Looks like we've got a ground-swell of folks on board and we're all broadly in agreement with the list Walter and I came up with; we'll add a couple of French and Dutch in there :P and then off we go! I agree with Walter - with all due respect, the Challenge has to be a challenge - yes, it should be easy to follow and but it has to test our photographic skills; if that means looking up a dictionary to find out the meaning and nuance of words we're not familiar with, then I'm happy with that!

I hope you agree that by posting a oversized list of forty or so words, there is a lot of scope for us all in April - I will open the thread tonight with the full list of the words and the 'rules' and guidelines for the Challenge so we can get ready for Thursday :D

Marielou, si vous ne comprenez pas les règlements, envoyez-moi un PBase message personnel!

Thank you Doug for your nice proposition.
Because, if it's a part of the challenge to take time with a dictionary in the hands, for my own i'ts the most boring thing of it !
I always try to participate with my two or three words I know in English without need of these boring and heavy books on my keyboard !
