Laine, you don't have to hunt for restaurants, you might show us a dish, a recepie, a sandwich - something prepared by you or at your friends' for example. I think this is quite a wide interpretation.

Yes, Scavanger hount is always great and stimulates creativity...
Love the idea! I find Ray's list very inspiring! I won't have a computer for a part ofSeptember, but I think I can do shots of the topics and post them randomly during the month, when I get a on to a computer...

Those who want to shoot restaurants, could eventually find cover of the themes in a restaurant , why not... otherwise there can be 2 different topics, which is not a problem either...

Thanks Ray for that great idea!

I think I'll give September a miss too... we had heaps of birthdays in August and saw the insides of a few restaurants..but not a thing coming up in Sept...sorry about that, eating out is not a thing we do very often. I've enjoyed the Aug Challenge and will catch up again in October! :)

We have had discussions about August and IMO decided to go for transportation in August and for food et cetera in September. For those who wanted to do food in August and were kind enough to join the transportation theme in August, I don't think we should postpone that again.
We can do the hunt in October.

@Barbara: of course we can do two different themes, but IMO it is more fun when more join!

And @ Yvonne: Of course it is completely up to you. But you will be missed!!!! And: you don't have to go to restaurants for the food challenge. The fun of it is: we all have to eat, so you can interpretate the theme anyway you want as long as it has something to do with food.

Maaike

Food is good & I'm able to do that without the restaurants since most of my cooking & eating is done at home :D

Look forward to meeting you all again tomorrow.. You will need to provide your own napkins...I imagine there will be a fair amount of drooling going on :P

SO IT'S SETTLED. SEPTEMBER'S CHALLENGE WILL BE ........FOOD & RESTAURANTS. Macros of food, your food, your neighbor's food, food on the street, in a store, restaurants, diners, drive-ins, dives, restaurant signs, carnival foods, ball park foods, take-out, frozen, anything edible, garden food, harvested crop foods, raw, black tie dinners.....etc. etc. Anybody hungry? Keep that food off your lenses!!!!!!!!!!!

How about if 31 hunt items are selected by several people...anyone who wants to submit an idea then the list is full after a set number of items. I was thinking that this would not be so much a PAD but more as a challenge to complete the hunt THEN post a link to the gallery, so no influences as to what 'treasures' are found or how images composed. This would be in addition to a PAD.

I wouldn't expect people to do them in any particular order, and in fact you wouldn't have to post each and every day. You could take five themes all on one day and then pause if that suited you - just as long as you'd taken all the photos by the end of the month in question.

Flo we can have a revised list with some objects in if you like - but it's important to choose themes that are OK for everyone, from city dwellers to those living in the Outback in the southern hemisphere LOL!
