It seems there are two thread I have just noticed going on the same subject, mainly by two persons, trying to tell the world what to do.... hahaha! Do what you want and let the others do what they want. For my part, i'm being moved by photos, ANY KIND OF PHOTOS, and those that don't have feelings with photos, I shun. Go and join a sect, and then you will be a copy of everyone else. Let the free spirit live, and produce THEIR ideal image and post it When they feel and WHERE they feel. it is very nagging to get those odd messages pointing out my photos wasn't taken today cause there is no snow in it, no rain in it, no sun in it, etc. Just love the image for what it is, the mood someone was feeling, good or bad, an object someone wondered at, good or bad, a portrait someone was pround of, even if not to your taste. not every one can be the same race, country, religion, connaisseur, language, social level, technically position AS YOU, just learn from them and you will acheive their levels too, don't try to bring them down to your level by all kinds of stupid rules. Everyone has, taste, feelings, ideas, knowledge, contacts, that he wishes to communicate to others. The facts of trying to dictates on those possibilities, just borders on dictatership and just plain nastiness. Appreciate, AND YOU WILL BE APPRECIATED.

I'm late to this discussion. Sorry. I've read through it, and I think the whole question, as it relates to PBase PAD, is a bunch of bunk. The idea of doing a photo a day, as was first described in this thread, is a fine idea, but surely it is a very personal effort. I'm sure that the photographer, or any photographer, who decides to take up the challenge of taking a good photo every day doesn't, or shouldn't, care what others are doing. It seems that would be a solitary task, a personal experience that the particular photographer has chosen to do. In my view, if this photographer started looking around at others who were claiming to be doing a picture a day and started judging what they were doing, telling them they were wrong, and so on, then that photographer will certainly not gain anything from his own effort. He will have lost the point of it. For rather than doing a photo a day as a discipline and learning experience, he has become something of a social critic more concerned with what others are doing that what he is doing. The post right before mine has it right. Let it go! Do you own thing and let me do my own thing and let others do their own things. That's how we learn - differently. Stop trying to impose your view. Instead, retreat into your view (a valid one, by the way) and do your own learning. If you post only a photo a day, and I post two photos a day, so what? How in the world does that hurt your effort? It doesn't.
