I will have to day this one.
But I need to say that I took this hand held in the heavy rain holding my umbrella and my camera at the same time.

There are others that are probably better, but I am partial to this one because they're my daughters

No doubt about it...If i want to keep one of 2006, it would be La Villa Belza...

This was my most voted picture of 2006, which seems easier to choose than trying to figure out my favorite, although it's close, just as an interesting scene.

a masterful exposure

Post Mon Jan 01, 2007 4:42 pm

I used my ancient, clunky, slooowww 300D with a 400 f/5.6L and a 1.4X TC mounted on a tripod with cable release to get this rimlit masterpiece. Metering with the 300D is "iffy" at best (and the exif reporting on Pbase is biased for Nikon so it misreads my actual settings... I used manual mode to dial in the right exposure); but the combo of the 300D and that lens and TC is superb (something about the 300D being better suited to slower lens apertures). Anyhow, I love this photo for the expression on the juvenile great blue heron and lovely rimlight on its feathers. There's a general rule with bird photography called "no butt shots," but this one breaks that rule magnificantly.

Wow - tough to choose.

My favorite from my PaD gallery (for the moment at least):

Perhaps my favorite from all of my photos:

Hi all, I will choose this picture, not because it is my absolute personal favorite but because it won a Photocontest here in sweden, nature & overall prize :) ( = a S7c and a D80kit)

Well, not a hard decision: My favourite from the world cup days and of 2006 too. She couldn´t stop laughing, when she saw the pic.

This one wasn't a PaD. But having just looked at all the photos I put up over 2006 I'm inordinately proud of this one.
